Module 1: Regulations & Safe operating Procedures

This module introduces the trainee to the requirements for operating a slewing mobile crane. Legislation differs from country to country and the training is based on the requirements for operators in Australia

Module 2: Introduction to Cranes

This module introduces the trainee to all types of mobile cranes and how they work

Module 3: Hazards

This module identifies the hazards working around cranes and how to minimise the risks

Module 4: Crane Stability & Loadings

Stability is the key to keeping the crane stable for all lifting activities. Loadings are required to achieve the stability of the crane

Module 5: Multi-Crane Lifting

This module deals with the procedures and saftey issues involved with multi-crane lifting activities

Module 6: Wipe Rope

This module deals with the wire ropes associated with cranes

Module 7: Appliances & Fittings

This module deals with all the appliances and fittings used when working with mobile cranes

Module 8: Calculations

All crane operators need to know what they are lifting and load information. To determine this, calculations are required. This module takes the trainee through those calculations required for safe lifting.

Module 9: Load Charts Non-Slewing Cranes

Module 10: Load Charts 20T Slewing Cranes

Module 11: Load Charts Under 100T

Load Charts are the crane operators bible and as such need to be understood. Many accidents happen through misinterpretation of the charts.

Module 12: Load Charts to 200T

Module 13: Load Charts to 300T

We now start to get into the larger capacity cranes and chart information becomes more intense. Operators need to undersand thoroughly all information contained in the cranes load charts

Module 14: Heavy-Lift Load Charts (Optional)

This module contains load charts for a selection of heavy-lift cranes. It also includes a sample JSA for the assembly of the larger type of cranes.

Module 15: Heavy-Lift Cranes (Optional)

This module is an extension of the open ticket training and as such, delves into the accessories that make a conventional crane a 'heavy-lift crane.
